oCen Communications Announces Trial of oPhone Enterprise IP Telephony Solution in Asia.

oCen Communications, a leading Asia-focused Internet Communication Services Provider, or ICSP, offering voice, fax, and data communications services to consumers, carriers and corporations, Wednesday announced at the San Jose Voice-over-Net conference that it has begun beta site testing of oPhone(TM), its international IP telephony services for enterprise customers, in Asia.

oPhone(TM) is oCen's IP telephony solution designed for multinational enterprises using high quality Clarent IP telephony equipment and with traffic carried on oCen's expanding managed IP network to ensure consistent quality of service. oCen is currently beta testing with major corporate customers in the Greater China region. During the second half of this year it plans to deploy oPhone(TM) along with its CommPortal(TM) enhanced services suite in multiple countries in Asia, targeting Pan-Asia multinational enterprises.

oPhone is intended to be a turnkey Internet telephony solution for enterprises. Each customer rollout includes deployment of Clarent's enterprise gateway at corporate premises, PBX/legacy system integration, and single-step dialing, high quality international VoIP/FoIP services over oCen's managed IP network, QoS assurance and customized Web billing. Billing can be evaluated within a single site or across any number of regional offices, branches or subsidiaries. The trials will allow oCen to better gauge communications usage patterns so that it can improve its product offerings to enterprises.
