"We are very pleased to have our products reviewed at the ESTF," said netzentry CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. , Elizabeth Perry. "Our technology and products provide a more complete solution than the standard IPS and IDS products offer today."
The purpose of the forum is to:

    1. "Identify new sources of critical security technology from the
private sector to fulfill needs in the government that are
currently unmet by standard commercial offerings.

    2. Connect participating vendors with potential government
customers through the presentation of technology to Government
        attendees.

    3. Focus on small to medium companies, providing a springboard
        into wider commercial markets."

netzentry's technology represents the next generation of IPS and IDS solutions called the Network Defense Solution (NDS See eDirectory.

). Ms. Perry will present and demonstrate how netzentry's architecture and its products allow organizations to not only detect attacks but also track and mitigate them at the attack source in real-time -- with a single solution. Currently, companies patch together homegrown network defense solutions using various products from a myriad of IPS and IDS vendors.

"netzentry's solution is the first product I've seen designed from the ground up for both detection and enforcement. This puts the company in a good position to help customers understand network behavior and head off attacks before they cause significant damage," said security industry analyst Jon Oltsik of the Enterprise Strategy Group.

About ESTF

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate Cyber Security Research and Development Program within the Homeland Security Advanced Research Projects Agency (HSARPA HSARPA Homeland Security Advanced Research Projects Agency ) announced that 13 technology vendors have been selected to present information security solutions to government personnel at the DHS/S&T Emerging Security Technology Forum (ESTF) on April 13-14, 2005.

The ESTF is an opportunity to introduce government representatives to smaller-sized information security technology vendors whose innovative approaches can help to continually assess and prevent security risks in the nation's critical infrastructure. For this ESTF vendors will present and demonstrate current and emerging information security technologies that defend against DDOS See denial of service attack.  and worm attacks. The audience will include federal, state, and local government technologists, technical managers, and others responsible for incorporating new technologies into critical government infrastructures.

A critical area of focus for the DHS S&T Directorate is the development and deployment of technologies to protect the nation's cyber infrastructure including the Internet and other critical infrastructures that depend on computer systems for their mission.
