myDNA Media, Inc. Celebrates National DNA Day; Five Day Celebration Provides a Look at the ``Many Faces of DNA''.

AUSTIN, Texas -- On April 25, myDNA Media, Inc., a leading eHealth portal, will launch "Many Faces of DNA" in celebration of the third annual National DNA Day. During the five day event, myDNA will produce a series of narratives from national organizations, patients receiving treatment and parents of children afflicted with genetic diseases.

"We believe it is important to put a face and a real life story on the many complex issues confronting genetic counselors, patients and parents. We need to learn from these experiences to better prepare for the future of pharmacogenomics," said Donald Hackett, CEO of myDNA.

Of the featured stories, one focuses on the important role genetic counselors play in one family's struggle with BRCA1 breast cancer gene. Another, from Linda Thomas, Executive Director for the Austin Sickle Cell Association, discusses her husband's battle with Sickle Cell disease and the very personal reasons they started the local sickle cell organization. "More genetic testing is imperative. Everyone should be aware if they carry the genetic DNA for sickle cell trait before they have children.

"With genetic non-discrimination legislation, all genetic conditions can be researched equitably, without fearing a privacy violation.
