(NASDAQ:JNPR) today announced that mpower broadband, inc. has deployed Juniper Networks routing and security solutions to ensure the reliability and security of its new wholesale voice over IP (VoIP) service offering. mpower offers a comprehensive set of wholesale hosted VoIP services and applications for business and consumer customers, and has selected Juniper Networks M-series multiservice routing platforms, VF-series session border controllers and Integrated Security Gateways with Intrusion Detection and Protection (IDP) as the foundation for its new service.

Juniper Networks ISG 1000, which combines firewall, VPN and IDP, provides comprehensive protection against Denial of Service attacks and network intrusions, including worms, trojans and spyware.
