Homemade Applesauce

(Adult Help Needed)

Ingredients and Tools:
4 medium sweet apples
3/4 cup water
1 tablespoon honey
cinnamon (optional)
paring knife
saucepan
potato masher


Directions:

1. Wash the apples.

2. Peel and cut up the apples. Take out the core and the seeds.

3. Put the water, honey, and apples in the saucepan and stir.

4. Put the pan on the stove stove, device used for heating or for cooking food. The stove was long regarded as a cooking device supplementary to the fireplace, near which it stood; its stovepipe led into the fireplace chimney. It was not until about the middle of the 19th cent. ; cover the pot with a lid, and cook at medium heat for 15-20 minutes until soft.
