infoPLANT Releases Survey Result on Mobile Phone Use.


Tokyo Tokyo (tō`kēō), city (1990 pop. 8,163,573), capital of Japan and of Tokyo prefecture, E central Honshu, at the head of Tokyo Bay. , Japan, Oct 5, 2005 - (JCNN JCNN Japan Corporate News Network ) - Online market researcher infoPLANT conducted research regarding mobile phone use among 16,833 phone users (operators limited to NTT DoCoMo (NTT Mobile Communications Network, Inc., Japan) Founded in 1991, NTT DoCoMo is a spinoff of Japan's NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation) which provides wireless services, including cellular, paging, satellite and maritime and in-flight telephone services. , au, vodafone) from September 6 to 13, 2005.

On the other hand, the group suggesting they would not use the service occupies less than 10%. Furthermore, 81.5% of the service users replied they access the Web over their phones almost everyday, compared to 57.5% among non-service users.

When asked about how they use online applications on their phone after subscribing to the flat-rate packet service, 87.4% of the users replied they access the Websites more frequently, followed by 60.0% saying that they visit the sites longer, 45.6% that they download To receive a file transmitted over a network. In any communications session, "download" means receive, and "upload" means send. The download/upload often implies a big/little scenario, in which data is being downloaded from the "big" server into the "little" user's computer.  more applications, and 36.9% that they emails more often.
