iVendor Inc., the leading private-label e-commerce provider, today announced the completion of the iVendor Merchandising Team, a group of seasoned retail experts who will profitably link iVendor customers to the company's world-class merchandising network of buyers, suppliers and e-commerce services.

The team's more than 200 collective years of experience from both brick-and-mortar and click-and-mortar merchandising provides iVendor customers with the richest and most effective merchandising services in the industry.

The iVendor Merchandising Team is headed by Vice President of Merchandising Richard Ogawa, who joined iVendor in December 1999 from the Internet Shopping Network, a division of USA Network Interactive. While there, he oversaw all aspects of product procurement, category development, merchandising and vendor relations. Prior to that, he was a senior corporate buyer for Macy's West where he was an elected member of the Federated Core Buying Team.

Among the merchandising network resources available to customers and suppliers through the iVendor Merchandising Team are product selection, aggregate-buying services, inventory management, supplier management, merchandising and promotional programming services, channel development and e-commerce website development.

Ogawa today announced the addition of Phil Barberi who was named Director of Merchandise Buying and Inventory Management. In this role Barberi will lead a team of experienced buyers focused on expanding iVendor's network of suppliers. Barberi has spent more than a decade overseeing merchandising activities at national department stores, including the May Corporation and Broadway Stores, Inc. Most recently, he worked for Macy's West where he was the Divisional Merchandise Manager of Fashion Jewelry and Watches.

As Director of Merchandise Buying and Inventory Management for iVendor, Barberi and his team will develop additional strategic supplier relationships to expand the company's current product offering of more than 3 million SKUs. Specific emphasis will be given to the development of core assortment components allowing the company and its partners to enhance their overall profitability.

Barberi's counterpart on the iVendor Merchandising Team is Michael Greenberg, Director of Merchandising Services. Greenberg joined the company late last year from Pop2it.com where he was the Vice President of Merchandising. There, he was responsible for the development of merchandising strategies in the early stage of contextual embedded e-commerce. At iVendor, Greenberg leads the team charged with developing and managing the merchandising of the online stores including, product assortment, promotional programming and pricing strategies.
