iGoLogic to Demo VIA based JBOX(TM) Sun Ray(TM) Diskless Desktop at ESC Boston.

BOSTON, Mass. -- Sleek, Small System Brings Sun Solaris 10 x86 Stability to Rapid Development of Thin Client, and Other Real World Apps Including Automotive Telematics and RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) A data collection technology that uses electronic tags for storing data. The tag, also known as an "electronic label," "transponder" or "code plate," is made up of an RFID chip attached to an antenna.  Devices

iGoLogic, Inc. today announced the demonstration of thin client, telematics and RFID applications based on JBOX JBOX Junction Box (TM) at the Embedded Systems Conference (ESC See escape character and escape key. See also ESC/P.

Highlighting the iGoLogic demonstrations at ESC is the Sun Ray(TM)-based thin client, a flexible, highly secure and completely diskless PC desktop in a JBOX with Solaris 10 X86, J2SE and Sun Ray(TM) software installed on a 1GB compact flash inserted in a VIA EPIA MII 1. "Our demonstration at Embedded Systems Conference shows how important applications can be developed on the iGoLogic JBOX for rapidly growing markets using the versatile VIA EPIA mainboards and SUN Solaris 10 X86. We chose VIA because of its outstanding flexibility and performance in embedded applications."

iGoLogic is also showing a low-cost thin client server, a small footprint iGoLogic JBOX(TM) running Sun Ray(TM) Server software and the Solaris 10 x86 Operating Environment, and providing service to a Linux laptop running as a "soft" Sun Ray client.

Other JBOX demonstrations include telematics and RFID systems. Partnering with VoomPC, iGoLogic has created a wireless mobile PC for cars, boats, electric carts and other vehicles that can withstand the rigors of hard motion, dust and high temperatures. iGoLogic is also demonstrating a JBOX-based RFID application at ESC. This diskless, small footprint secure system runs Java Enterprise System enabling RFID capabilities for warehouse or commercial applications with very little additional new code.
