Daniel Pearl (October 10, 1963 – February 1, 2002) was an American journalist who was kidnapped and murdered in Karachi, Pakistan.
 Foundation have launched PEARL (Prepare and Educate Aspiring Reporters for Leadership) World Youth News, an international news source with articles written, edited, and published by secondary school students from around the globe. High school students may join the news service at no cost as PEARL Reporters by successfully completing an online training and certification course developed by Karen Freeman from the New York New York, state, United States
