iCarbon Announces Formation of Bulk Industrial Minerals Business Division; Company Appoints Senior Industry Executive to Help Launch New Division.

) today announced it has launched a new bulk industrial minerals and materials division, which will provide contract processing for industrial clients, utilizing the company's proprietary manufacturing and chemical-based processing technologies. The company has appointed Kevin Layton, a long time veteran of the materials processing Articles on Materials processing include:

Mr. Layton, age 45, previously served as the senior process engineer for Owens Corning's powdered coatings division since 2004, where he was responsible for overseeing quality control for the division with over $280 million of annual sales. While at Owens Corning Owens Corning Corporation is the world's largest manufacturer of fiberglass and related products. It was formed in 1935 as a partnership between two major American glassworks, Corning Glass Works and Owens-Illinois. The company was spun off as a separate entity November 1, 1938. , Mr. Layton led numerous projects to drive savings and increase productivity, and led product development for the company's first international business venture in China. From 1995 to 2004, Mr. Layton held various positions with PPG Industries PPG Industries (NYSE: PPG) was founded in 1883 as the Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company.

PPG is an American manufacturer of glass and chemical products, including automotive safety glass.
, most recently as senior process engineer, where he was responsible for launching and overseeing plants in Brazil, China and Mexico. In addition, he was responsible for scaling up a wide range of new products from research and development through manufacturing. Mr. Layton also held senior positions at Ferro Corporation and at Glidden Company, a division of ICI (language) ICI - An extensible, interpretated language by Tim Long with syntax similar to C. The company's Aliquippa, Pennsylvania Aliquippa is a city in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, United States and is part of the Pittsburgh Metro Area. The city was founded via the merger of three pre-existing towns, Aliquippa (now called West Aliquippa), Woodlawn, and New Sheffield.  plant has the bulk materials infrastructure to accommodate major industrial users and incorporates river barge, rail transportation, and manufacturing/processing systems for bulk industrial minerals and materials.
