NursesSTAT management team is projecting two additional clients this quarter representing over $400,000 of new revenue. Currently, contracts are in place at two other South Florida hospitals generating annual revenue of $ 360,000.

"NursesSTAT offers hospitals, nursing homes and other skilled-care facilities significant cost savings, while dramatically improving nursing shift coverage," said Brovenick. "The potential demand for our new staffing solution is enormous and is national in scope."

NursesSTAT provides patented web enabled application to maintain a national network of qualified nurses and other health care professionals while deploying the latest wireless technology to make those individuals available to healthcare facilities nationwide by pager 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

indicates that the average vacancy rate for registered nurse (RN) positions is about 13 percent. As a result, hospitals and nursing homes are forced to hire nurses on a temporary basis from healthcare staffing agencies, which charge premium rates.

As a technologically sophisticated tool, NursesSTAT provides a less expensive, yet more effective solution to facilities' staffing needs. Participating facilities can create their own customized staffing application.

Using the Internet, a nurse can join the facility's "super nursing pool" by entering name, contact information, and key staffing information, such as license, shift availability, specialized nursing experience and financial requirements. Once the nurse's information is entered into the system and verified, the nurse is given a pager. Then, if an opening is available, a page is sent out automatically to all nurses who meet the criteria to work that shift. The first nurse to respond then gets the assignment.
