 and Mitsubishi Research Institute, has released the results of a survey on nurses and their attitudes toward work. The survey, which was conducted between September 1 to 7, received valid responses from 166 nurses (male 10.2% and female 89.8%).

Of the respondents In the context of marketing research, a representative sample drawn from a larger population of people from whom information is collected and used to develop or confirm marketing strategy. , 66.3% answered that their occupation is worthwhile but they are not satisfied. Only 13.9% said that they are fully content with their jobs. When asked about what they are not happy with, 44.8% mentioned that the work is demanding. Further, 40.8% complained about human relation problems at workplace.

In order to cope with their complaints and pressures, most respondents seek for useful information. In particular, 44.0% want to upgrade the basic knowledge of nursing, 37.4% to obtain practical know-how in nursing, and 32.5% to access the latest information on drug and medical equipment.

When asked about how they would like to gather information, 57.0% replied that they consult with books and manuals while 56.3% use community sites for nurses. Further, 48.7% said they would use a fee-based service if the content were satisfying, while 48.7% would not use any cost-bearing service.

When asked to mention the factors that induce in·duce

 errors in medical treatment, 75.9% indicated poor communication with doctors as well as among nurses, and the lack of attention when they are busy. In order to prevent such errors, most of the respondents (80.6%) consider beefing up the nursing staff essential.

Of the respondents, 58.4% have moved to a different hospital (changed their working place). On such an occasion, 75.3% obtained information at public employment offices while 57.7% use career information websites. Further, 29.9% mentioned public employment offices as the decisive resource, followed by referrals by friends and acquaintances
