There are two types of HIV: HIV-1 and HIV-2. HIV-1 is responsible for the vast majority of AIDS in the United States. and AIDS. The survey, which was conducted between November 25 to December 1 via the Internet, received valid responses from 38,474 Japanese. Of the respondents, 91.4% are aware of the fact that the number of HIV carriers and AIDS patients is increasing in Japan. Meanwhile, 50.5% answered that they recognize the HIV/AIDS HIV/AIDS Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome issues as an immediate concern while 31.3% do not take the issues personally. Further, 34.5% of the respondents answered that they are not interested in the issues. In terms of information they would like to know about HIV and AIDS, 75.4% mentioned preventive measures, followed by therapies (61.9%), current status and trends (60.6%), and detailed information on the disease (58.5%). When asked about what HIV/AIDS measures the government should focus on, 64.5% of the respondents consider the development of preventive vaccine and drugs important, followed by the establishment of preventive systems (63.5%) and the provision of correct information (62.7%).
