fusionOne Announces 1-Click Sync Initiative; New Service Allows Users to Seamlessly Sync Online Content Instantly Into Their Offline Device World.

Business/Technology Editors

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 13, 2000

fusionOne (www.fusionone.com), a pioneer and leader in the development of next-generation Internet synchronization services, today announced 1-Click Sync, the ability to seamlessly sync pertinent online content, such as travel information, event listings, and online directories into users' offline devices. With 1-Click Sync, fusionOne subscribers can instantly integrate online content from the Web into their offline world or "personal data sphere", including their desktop PCs, handheld devices, favorite Portal sites, and even mobile phones -- all with the click of a mouse.

1-Click Sync is a byproduct by·prod·uct or by-prod·uct
n.
1. Something produced in the making of something else.

2. A secondary result; a side effect.

Noun 1.
of fusionOne's transactional Internet sync architecture. fusionOne's transactional architecture ensures that any time information is changed on one device (or Web site), just that change gets transmitted through the Internet as a "transaction" that is automatically applied to the local application on each device -- making synchronization nearly invisible. By integrating 1-Click Sync into partner sites, such as online travel sites from Sabre, users simply click on a fusionOne icon to instantly update all pertinent information from that site into all their offline address books or calendars.

Also announced today was fusionOne's first 1-Click Sync affiliate partner, Sabre Inc (www.sabre.com). Together, fusionOne and Sabre will be offering fusionOne's 1-Click Sync through Sabre Business Travel Solutions(R), the leading corporate travel management and e-purchasing system from Sabre. Now, when booking travel online, users simply click the fusionOne icon and their itinerary will automatically appear in all their address books.

"Until now, synchronization has focused merely on connecting physical devices to one another," said Rick Onyon, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of fusionOne. "With the introduction of 1-Click Sync, we are enabling users to capture pieces of content on the Web and automatically integrate them into their offline or `device' world. This is a radical shift from traditional sync offerings, and we believe the first in many value-added services we will provide."

In addition to automatically delivering content into the users' device world, fusionOne's 1-Click Sync will provide a link back to the original website, thus ensuring added "stickiness" for that partner site. fusionOne's 1-Click Sync program is also extremely easy for affiliate partners to implement. fusionOne will soon be announcing a 1-Click Sync affiliate program that will allow any site to take advantage of this powerful sync architecture. Once approved into the program, fusionOne will provide the partner a simple line of HTML HTML
