4-7 HIGHLAND FOOD AND DRINK FESTIVAL - Organised by Inverness & Nairn Enterprise in conjunction with The Highland Council, with new contributing sponsor Tennent Caledonian Breweries. To be held at a number of different venues, such as Urqhart Castle, Fort George, Ardesier, and the historic Priory at Beauly. Now in its 4th year, the festival aims to promote locally produced food and drink, as well as the region's tourist industry. 9-10 ORGANEX 2001 - To be held at the Grand Hall, Olympia, the show is now in its 5th year and is supported by the Soil Association. Exhibitors will include Organic Farmers & Growers, the second largest organic certification body in the UK, and SKAL, the Dutch certification board. A notable aspect of this year's show will be the increased number of pavilions featuring organic national produce, including Greece, Italy, Germany, Austria and South Africa.
