REMINDER of this evening's meeting of the Coventry branch, Royal Signals Association at the TA Centre, Radford Road, at 8pm. No meeting this evening for the Fleet Air Arm Association branch. The next scheduled date is Tuesday, March 18, the AGM at the Royal Naval Club, Tamworth at 8pm.

COVENTRY branch, Parachute and Airborne Forces Association holds its meeting on Thursday, at the Royal Warwicks Club at 8pm.

NO 1 branch Royal British Legion holds its meeting on Sunday at the Royal Warwicks Club, at 11am. Coventry Airborne Association branch also holds its meeting at the Royal Warwicks Club, at 11am, on Sunday.

ON Monday, the Worcestershire & Sherwood Foresters Association, Coventry and District branch assembles at the Nursery Tavern, Lord Street at noon. On Tuesday, the Bedworth branch, RBL, meets at the Ex-servicemen's Club, and the Bulkington village RBL meets at the War Memorial Club. Both meetings commence at 8pm.

SAUNDERS Hall Club, Bedworth, is the venue for the Mayor of Nuneaton and Bedworth's charity concert on Thursday, which is produced again by REME veteran Brian Walker. Star of the show will be John Bowdler, organist at Blackpool Tower. Tickets are pounds 6 including light refreshments and can be obtained in advance from the club - which has made no hire charge for the hall for this charity concert.

COVENTRY branch, Royal Air Force Association will hold its annual general meeting on Tuesday, March 25, at its Headquarters Club, Lythalls Lane.

Advanced notice is given to advise all members, full and associate members, that subscriptions for membership are now due and can be paid before or at the AGM. The branch Wings Appeal total for 2007 was pounds 5,100. Thanks are conveyed to the public and all helpers for their support.

CONDOLENCES are conveyed to the family of veteran Jack Walker, an ex-serviceman who served in the Fleet Air Arm during the war. Coventry ex-service standard bearers, with our bugler, presented a guard of honour at his funeral last week.

THIS year's Royal Hospital Chelsea Founder's Day will take place on Thursday, June 5, at the Pensioners Hospital with the reviewing officer, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal (the former Colonel-in-Chief of our late Worcestershire & Sherwood Forester Regiment). Ex-service associations are invited to attend this enjoyable event and applications for tickets should be made to the RHQ of your former forces unit through your ex-service or RBL branch secretary. Priority will be given to those who have not attended a Founder's Day Parade during the past three years.
