eSignal 7 series software updated with more features for active traders.

eSignal, a division of Interactive Data Corporation (NYSE:IDC) and a leading provider of streaming, real-time financial market data, news, analytics and decision support tools to professional and individual traders, has announced the immediate availability of eSignal 7.3.

This expansion of the 7 series software provides traders greater control and flexibility of market information by introducing enhancements to the software including features such as Pop-Out Windows, a new Quoteboard Window, plus expanded Market Depth for NYSE OpenBook and Regional Options.

eSignal 7.3 boosts trader's access to timely, market information with an innovative new Pop-Out Window feature allowing users to detach any window in eSignal--a chart, scrolling ticker, real-time portfolio or any other window. Users can then place the selected popped out window anywhere on their monitor alongside other applications in use. This is particularly useful for traders with multiple monitors as it allows them to move specific windows into any of their monitors. Customized layouts are easily saved in eSignal and available automatically the next time the program is used. Pop-out windows allow customers to easily keep an eye on the market while they edit documents, place a trade or perform work in other software applications.

The Quoteboard allows users to quickly customize and visually scan the window to see buy/sell pressure on their issues. Highly requested by futures traders, the new Quoteboard allows them to display the open, high, low, close and change for a multitude of contracts.

Market Depth for NYSE OpenBook is now available in eSignal 7.3. Market Depth is a critical tool for the professional trader, helping them to gauge liquidity across markets--during and after market hours. Market fragmentation can be an opportunity if investors have access to data from major liquidity sources like SuperMontage and ECNs, combined with a set of data management tools to help control that information. In addition to NYSE OpenBook, eSignal offers NASDAQ SuperMontage, and ECNs Island and Archipelago. New Regional Options data offers trader the ability to price comparison shop for best bid and ask among the regional exchanges trading a particular stock.
