James P. Folkes
Folkes is the Vice President of Business Development and Marketing

student transportation. A 20-year veteran of Laidlaw, Folkes has held
senior line and staff roles with the company including District
Director of Operations for New Jersey and Vice President of Southeast
Operations with responsibility for eleven southeastern states. Prior
to joining Laidlaw, he was Vice President of Operations for McDonald
Douglas Truck Services, Inc. Folkes holds a B.S. from Lehigh

David Gerrard
Gerrard is the Vice President of Purchasing at Laidlaw Education
Services. He is responsible for acquisition, disposition and
management of Laidlaw's 40,000 school buses throughout nearly 600
locations in North America. Prior to joining Laidlaw, he held senior
management positions in the full-service truck leasing and logistics
industries, most notably as Vice President of Marketing and
Administration for NationaLease, the largest independent Truck Rental
and Leasing organization in North America. He also held a position
with Arthur Anderson, managing numerous cross industry audit
assignments. Gerrard earned a B.S. from Marquette University.
Bill Hawkins
Hawkins is President and CEO of Novoste Corporation, a world
leader in the emerging field of vascular brachytherapy, the use of
intravascular radiation to reduce the incidence of Restenosis, the
renarrowing of a previously treated artery. Hawkins has over 20 years
of experience in the medical device industry, having held executive
positions with American Home Products, Johnson & Johnson, Guidant

John E. Hayes, Jr.
Hayes is Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Menninger
Foundation. The Menninger Foundation, based in Topeka, Kansas, is the

senior management positions. He served as Director, The Security
