Business Editors/High-Tech Writers

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 27, 2002

Dot (SR), Inc. (http://www.register.sr), the exclusive registry for domain names ending in Dot-SR (.sr), announced today that eNIC Corporation, a subsidiary of VeriSign, Inc. (Nasdaq:VRSN VRSN Verisign, Inc. (stock abbreviation, AMEX)
VRSN Version Number (NEC)
), a leader in domain name registration services, has agreed to become a .sr Registrar. eNIC (http://www.enic.sr) will begin offering .sr domain names to its customer base of over 500,000. Presently, VeriSign's registrar serves as the gateway for establishing an online identity and Web presence, with more than 13.6 million active domain names in .com, .net, .org, .tv, .cc, and .ws.

"We are extremely excited about working with eNIC," said Steve Correia, Executive Vice President of Dot (SR), Inc. "With its substantial network of partners and affiliates, and its existing customer base, eNIC is able to reach a wide audience and promote the benefits of registering a .sr domain name."

"A company's brand name and trademarks are among its most valuable assets. Registering these names and marks under .sr precludes competitors and name speculators from attempting to use them," said Correia. "The .sr domain can serve as a secondary link to an existing website. However, we also believe businesses will come to realize the value of having a Senior dedicated website under .sr that targets Seniors and Baby Boomers, a powerful economic group consisting of more than 77 million people in the United States alone and 1.3 billion prospects across four languages."
