eMerge Interactive Inc., Sebastian, Fla., announces that Charlotte L. Perkins has joined the company as executive vice president, Sales & Marketing, for the Food Safety Technologies Business Unit. Her responsibilities will include the development of awareness and demand for VerifEYE's food safety products in consumer-focused industries. Prior to joining eMerge, Perkins was corporate senior vice president of C&S Wholesale Grocers Inc., which services such companies as Stop and Shop, Safeway and Shaw's (now part of Albertson's).
