eMedicine Selected for Boston MedFlight Critical Care Transport Team.

OMAHA, Neb.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 18, 2004

eMedicine.com, Inc., announced today that the eMedicine Clinical Knowledge Base has been selected by Boston MedFlight, the largest non-profit provider of critical care transport services in New England, as the preferred information resource for their medical crews. eMedicine's clinical information system will be available on helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft, and critical care ground vehicles used by Boston MedFlight. The system will provide instantaneous medical information on more than 6,500 diseases and conditions. The eMedicine Clinical Knowledge Base provides comprehensive medical and drug information that is peer reviewed and updated continually. Over 10,000 authors and editors have contributed to the system, which is now the world's largest original, peer-reviewed knowledge base of its kind. Boston MedFlight will have access to the knowledge base via their PDAs and handheld computers, as well as on any Web-enabled computer.
