eGistics Named Committee Member of NACHA's Check ACH Coalition.

The coalition is a group of leading check and ACH professionals assessing the feasibility of integrating the strengths of check image exchange with the ACH network in order to speed the adoption of truncation and electronic check exchange.

eGistics Founder and CTO Bryan Bruton will serve on the coalition's operations and technology committee, whose objective is to analyze and define the Check ACH process.

While electronic check clearing has grown markedly this year, challenges for both collecting and paying banks may put a damper on how quickly and deeply check image exchange will be adopted, according to NACHA. Check ACH could prove an effective check-clearing alternative to address the volume that would otherwise remain a physical check. Through its participation in the Check ACH Coalition, eGistics continues its support for electronic clearing initiatives.
