BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 25, 2000

Dale Renner, former founder of Andersen Consulting's CRM

practice, leads market expansion of data services company

eData, the data services management provider specializing in high-speed analysis of large-scale data, has named Dale H. Renner, former global managing partner of Andersen Consulting's Customer Relationship Management practice, as its President and Chief Executive Officer.

Renner joins eData from Andersen Consulting, where he spent 21 years working with many of the world's leading organizations, including Ford Motor Company, Shell Chemicals, U.S. Bank and Compaq Computer Corporation. In 1994, Renner founded the firm's CRM practice and defined many of the concepts considered the foundation of the modern CRM space. Under Renner's leadership, the practice grew to a $1.4 Bn global business. Renner helped create and served on the advisory board for the Center for Customer Insight at the University of Texas, Austin, and sponsored several groundbreaking studies, the most recent of which documented a clear empirical link between excellence in certain CRM capabilities and bottom line financial performance.

As CEO, Renner is driving eData's leadership in the global data distribution services market.

"There are no solutions in the market today that enable companies to fully harness the power that resides in their vast repositories of data," said Renner. "eData is unmatched in its ability to turn data into real-world business results."

Based in Boca Raton, FL, eData offers highly scalable Internet-accessible technologies, configuration capabilities and data management expertise to help companies unleash the power of data for breakthrough business performance.

eData was founded in July 1998 by Hank Asher, who previously founded Database Technologies. Asher will remain on the eData board as founder and will continue to work on product design and technology. Other board members include Jack Hight, Chairman, who was a co-founder of EDS Federal, Martha Barnett, President of the American Bar Association and Alan B. Levan, Chairman of Bank Atlantic.

"Dale Renner is a man of supreme integrity and a proven leader, skilled at building complex businesses from the ground up," said Jack Hight, Chairman. "He has a powerful vision for the company, and under his direction, we expect to deliver great value to our customers and grow eData to its fullest potential."
