eCopy Suite 8.0.

eCopy has announced the launch of eCopy Suite 8.0 in Europe, incorporating a range of new features including eCopy's new Xpert Compression technology.

Using eCopy products, businesses can transform paper documents into digital information that tan be accessed, modified, distributed, and shared like any electronic document, eCopy Suite 8.0 enables users to scan hard copy documents, whether they are black and white or colour, from their digital copier or document scanner and e-mail, fax, or archive them. Additionally, with eCopy Desktop software, users can send the paper document to their desktop where they can annotate, convert to a MS Word file, or combine the document with electronic files.

ecopy Xpert Compression technology enables compression of scanned colour documents, maintaining reproduction quality of text, graphics, and pictures. Scanned colour documents can be reduced by more than 99 per cent of their original digitised size while maintaining image quality. Xpert Compression technology analyses a document and identifies the content. It then applies the most appropriate compression technology for that type of information, resulting in the best possible reproduction of the original, either printed or on-screen. The non proprietary compression format allows documents to be opened in any PDF-compliant application, including Adobe Acrobat Reader.
