Collaborative effort combines e-tenna's RF2IF technology

with Ashvattha's BiCMOS RF chips

) and its subsidiary, e-tenna Corporation, today announced a strategic alliance between e-tenna and Ashvattha Semiconductor in an effort to combine their industry-leading expertise in reconfigurable antenna technologies and BiCMOS RF chip technologies.

By integrating the high performance and reconfigurable dynamics of e-tenna's RF2IF technologies with Ashvattha's family of RF chips, the companies intend to provide key technology and products for the wireless market and accelerate realization of Software Defined Radios A wireless terminal (phone, PDA, etc.) that is reconfigurable via software. It enables wireless devices to be easily updated to new or later versions of the air interface and allows multiple interfaces to be supported.  (SDRs).
