bTrade.com Attracts Top Executive Talent to Management Team.

bTrade.com, a global provider of IP-based solutions designed to enable the rapid integration of e-Business technologies, networks and trading partners, today announced three key appointments to further strengthen its management team: Ralph Berwanger, Senior Consultant for Standards and Emerging Technology; Steven Sogar, President of Strategic Technology Partnerships; and James Williams, President of Strategic Industry Alliances.

A well-known industry expert, Mr. Berwanger is an active member of the Electronic Business XML (ebXML) Initiative. In addition, he has served since 1996 as Chairman of the X12 Data Security Working Group of the American National Standards Institute See ANSI.

(body, standard) American National Standards Institute - (ANSI) The private, non-profit organisation (501(c)3) responsible for approving US standards in many areas, including computers and communications. ANSI is a member of ISO.
 Accredited Standards Committee X12 (ANSI (American National Standards Institute, New York, www.ansi.org) A membership organization founded in 1918 that coordinates the development of U.S. voluntary national standards in both the private and public sectors. It is the U.S. member body to ISO and IEC.  ASC ASC Ambulatory surgery center, see there  X12) and has recently been elected to the position of ASC X12 vice chair. Berwanger is also the U.S. representative to the Management Team of the Electronic Data Interchange See EDI.

Finally, Berwanger serves on various committees within the International Standards Organization See ISO. .

Berwanger brings an extensive understanding of market trends, business processes and emerging technologies to each of the above organizations. More importantly, as a result of his leadership roles across multiple organizations, Berwanger serves as a key focal point in standards bodies' efforts to harmonize the various standards they represent.

Mr. Sogar and Mr. Williams are responsible for cultivating the company's partnerships and alliances, helping to establish bTrade.com as a major force in the e-Business market. Further, both work to maintain strategic relationships between bTrade.com's customers and trading partners. While Mr. Sogar's focus is on hardware and software vendors, Mr. Williams is accountable for building and managing relationships with key industry sectors such as healthcare and supply chain.

Prior to joining bTrade.com, Berwanger was the Director of Finance for XEN Corporation in Fairfax, Virginia, recently bought by CACI Ltd. Before that, he was Training Director at EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) The electronic communication of business transactions, such as orders, confirmations and invoices, between organizations. Sogar previously held a senior position at Sun Microsystems Computer Corporation where he introduced the next generation of fault-tolerant and general-purpose servers for the telecommunications industry. Before that, he was part of the Xerox launch group that introduced Ethernet and Windows to the marketplace.

Before joining bTrade.com, Williams was Chief Information Officer at Em Care, a Laidlaw company. While at Em Care, Williams was responsible for leading the complete technological overhaul and integration of the company's systems infrastructure and ensuring the company's Y2K readiness. Other experience includes a post as Senior Principal of Perot Systems Corporation, and as Chief Operations Officer at several hospitals. Currently, Williams is a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society Founded in 1961, the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) is a healthcare industry membership organization exclusively focused on providing leadership for the optimal use of medical informatics technology and management systems.  (HIMSS), the American College of Healthcare Executives The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) is an international professional association of healthcare executives (high-level hospital administrators, CEOs, COOs, health system officers, etc.) Its central offices are located at 1 N.  (ACHE), and the American Institute of Computer Sciences.
