Zine thing.

Traveln Man #2

Awright! Another installment of Traveln Man! This one comes wrapped in a hand-screened cover, cut out from a 12-pack, so I guess you know the fuel behind the fire. It's got some great stuff, an article on visits to FDR, Bainbridge Island, Reno, and Oregon, plus photos, collages, etc. The half tones are a little raw, but this 'zine's kickin'. Send a couple bucks to: 119 19th Ave E #113, Seattle, WA 98112, or write tnm_zine Pronounced "zeen." See Webzine and e-zine. @yahoo.com

Razorcake #11

Ok, now what's the deal? As if putting out a top-notch punk 'zine full of interviews (Nardwuar the Human Serviette Nardwuar the Human Serviette (born John Ruskin, July 5, 1968) is a Canadian celebrity interviewer and musician from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.[1] He is the lead singer and keyboardist for The Evaporators and plays in Thee Goblins.  takes on the White Stripes! The Jewws!), record, zine, comic and book reviews, columns, photos, etc. wasn't enough, they appear to be reassembling a former Maximum Rock and Roll columnist phalanx phalanx, ancient Greek formation of infantry. Volume #6

Awright, another kill issue, worthy of several crappers. This one is high-quality stuff, great photos and funny writing: "How to spoon with girls," "How to buy porn at a liquor store," "Work is a four-letter word." Did I say there's lots of kill photos? For more info write: volume@digitalflick.com

Sk8Florida #6

Formerly known as Session, this mag changed its name to include the ever-so-cute number 8 preceded by the letters "s" and "k." Get it? Skeight! You can only get away with this in Florida these days. But seriously (well, I was being serious!) this mag's pretty OK with some FL coverage, albeit with a "cleaner side" of skateboarding (or "sk8boarding"), from the T Hawk photo on the cover to the Boom Boom... no, I am not going to say those words together. Someone's got their nose far up T Hawk's puckered starfish. Still, there's some decent stuff, a review of the Pensacola Park (with photos of the park, but nobody skating) that ends with the admonition Any formal verbal statement made during a trial by a judge to advise and caution the jury on their duty as jurors, on the admissibility or nonadmissibility of evidence, or on the purpose for which any evidence admitted may be considered by them.  "Skate safe and enjoy!" You know what? Fuck this. This mag is wack. If you like unicorns, puppy dogs, and your nickname is "Nancy" send cash to: 1646 B SE 3rd Court, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441. Fuck, I try to be nice...

Cometbus #49

Back to a tried and true format, Aaron relies on contributors for the bulk of this one, as well as a couple interviews. Maybe one day everyone will have said all there is to say about this 'zine and its creator, and maybe one day it will be gone, but I say not yet to both. Cometbus rules. Call it punk sociology, anthropology, literature, or just a good; entertaining read, it'll keep you occupied on the shitter for hours. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Cometbus is essential reading. $2.50 to BBT BBT basal body temperature.

Skrilla Ink

This is a comic 'zine that doubles as a clip art resume for a freelance illustrator named Rosko. It's good stuff. There's a series of comic vignettes but the first one, "The Street", steals the show by far. Portraying muppets and cartoon characters in a twisted, dark fashion is nothing new. In fact, it's long-since cliche. However, Rosko puts a lot of thought and detail into his warped vision of a parallel Sesame Street where "Muppia dons" rule the crime world. (Just check the cover.)
