Zimmatic aluminum mainline pipe.


Lindsay Manufacturing Co., Omaha, Neb., says its Zimmatic irrigation systems are now available with 6 5/8"-diameter aluminum mainline pipe. The new aluminum pipe joins galvanized steel, PVC-lined galvanized steel and stainless steel to further expand the options mainline irrigation pipe. The company says aluminum's corrosion resistance and good strength-to-weight ratio make it an effective choice for turf pivots and other irrigation applications and in areas where problem groundwater contains corrosive corrosive /cor·ro·sive/ (kor-o´siv) producing gradual destruction, as of a metal by electrochemical reaction or of the tissues by the action of a strong acid or alkali; an agent that so acts.
