Opposition candidates harassed? All the above. In the town of Manyame, for example, a tally of 15,000 voters would have given the seat to an opposition candidate. Next day, election officials announced the "discovery" of 10,000 extra ballots, giving victory to the government-party candidate, one Patrick Zhawao--who, one is not very surprised to learn, is a nephew of Zimbabwe's president Robert Mugabe.
