Zhone Announces Acquisiton of Roundview; Industry-Recognized IP Networking Engineering Firm to Enhance Zhone Product Offerings.

OAKLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 7, 2000

Zhone Technologies, Inc., the first company dedicated to building total-delivery solutions for voice, data, and content services, today announced its acquisition of Roundview, Inc., a premier engineering firm dedicated to developing project-oriented software for Internet networking technologies.

Under the terms of the purchase agreement, Zhone will acquire all of Roundview's intellectual property as well as its team of industry-leading software engineers.

Located in Minneapolis, Minn., Roundview will become Zhone's fifth engineering hub and will continue to focus exclusively on enhancing IP data logic for Zhone's future product offerings. The engineering team brings with them substantial experience in developing software for IP routers A router that is set up to route IP packets.
