Zhejiang Pacific Chemical.


Zhejiang Pacific Chemical, an $80 million joint venture between Dow Chemical and Zhejiang Chemical Factory in the People's Republic of China, started up in September. The 50/50 enterprise is Dow's first joint venture in China. Employing approximately 200 people, the plant is located in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, on the northeast coast of China. It has production capacity of 20,000 metric tons each of propylene oxide propylene oxide

There are more than 40 types of thermoplastics, including acrylic, polypropylene, polycarbonate and polyethylene.  polyurethanes, Dow Plastics, a business group of Dow Chemical, has increased its annual production capacity for Pellethane thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers by 10 million pounds. The expansion is the result of debottlenecking of the raw material handling process and an increase in compounding capacity at the Dow production facility in LaPorte, TX.
