As she returns to school she no longer enjoys the company of her ultra-popular friends, she doesn't want to be a star athlete, and she is no longer interested in doing all of the work that the yearbook requires. This is a truly fascinating scenario for readers--what if we could do it over? In many ways Naomi has the chance to do something different with her high school year than the direction in which she was headed. Ultimately it is the relationship with Will, her loyal best friend, that stands out. He is always honest with her and it is finally honesty that Naomi values above all--being honest with herself and with others. It is a powerful theme developed through a terrifically clever storyline. Janis Flint-Ferguson, Prof. English Lang. & Lit., Gordon College There are three colleges named Gordon College:
