Zembu, the leading provider of distributed application infrastructure, today announced the appointment of Dinesh Wadhawan to the Zembu executive team, to help drive the company's continued growth. As chief operations officer, Mr. Wadhawan will be responsible for the external operations of Zembu overseeing all marketing, sales, business development and professional services functions.

Mr. Wadhawan joins Zembu from Vicinity Corporation where he was senior vice president of worldwide sales, managing sales, business development and services initiatives at Vicinity Corporation. Mr. Wadhawan has more than 22 years of experience in sales and marketing of Enterprise software solutions (Direct, Channel, OEM & ISV) in the United States, Europe (Eastern & Western), Asia Pacific, Middle East and India. In addition, Mr. Wadhawan brought Vicinity through their initial public offering and continued overseeing the operations as a public company.

While at Systems Union he held a number of strategic sales and management positions including Director of Operations - Western North America, Global Business Manager, and member of the Americas Management Committee.

Mr. Wadhawan received a post graduate degree in Business Management in 1980 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1978 from the University of Delhi, India. About Zembu
