Zecco Trading Lowers Initial Account Deposit Minimum to $0 from $2,500.

Company Responds to Customer Requests for Greater Investment Accessibility; Can Now Deliver Zero Commission Trading to All Investors

ONTARIO, Calif. -- Zecco Trading (Zecco), a free stock trading brokerage, announced today that it has reduced its minimum account deposit to open a brokerage account from $2,500 to $0. The move comes as the company seeks to provide free trading to the widest possible audience of self-directed, individual investors.

Zecco's original $2,500 minimum investment balance, as opposed to its competitors' requirements of $25,000 or more, allowed a great number of investors to access its zero-commission online trading platform. Now, the ability to join Zecco with an initial deposit of $0 will offer access to an even broader range of consumers, several of whom had suggested to the company that the opening balance be dropped to that level. In response, and after deliberating on its feasibility, Zecco determined that the move be made immediately.

"Our lower minimum requirement was always intended to level the playing field for the individual investor, to give them the same access to the stock market that wealthier individuals and institutions have," said Zecco Holdings CEO Jeroen Veth. "As we grow our membership base, it's more important than ever that we provide the best service while maintaining our zero-commission structure. We've responded positively to several customers' queries on an issue that had been under consideration for some time. Now, the broadest possible swath of the investing public can gain access to Zecco's brokerage, editorial insight and, soon, social networking capabilities."
