The first one focuses on EPS momentum with stocks in uptrends. What Kevin is looking for Looking for In the context of general equities, this describing a buy interest in which a dealer is asked to offer stock, often involving a capital commitment. Antithesis of in touch with. is; stocks with 50% or greater EPS growth for the last 2 quarter over quarter periods (Q0 over Q-1 and Q-1 over Q-2), positive EPS surprises for the last 2 quarters, positive EPS Estimate Revisions over the last 4 weeks and that are trading within 20% of their 52 week highs. This is a great screen to find stocks on the move with earnings momentum backing it up. The parameters are: % Change Actual EPS Q(0)/Q(-1) greater than or equal to 50% % Change Actual EPS Q(-1)/Q(-2) greater than or equal to 50% Last EPS Surprise greater than or equal to 0 (no negative surprises) Previous EPS Surprise greater than or equal to 0 (no negative surprises) % Change Q(1) Est. - 4 Weeks greater than or equal to 0 (no negative revisions) Current Price/52 Week High greater than or equal to .80 (no more than 20% off the high) Kevin also applying it to stocks trading at greater than or equal to $5 with a minimum of at least 50,000 shares traded daily. Here's a few on that list now (as of Mon. 3/7/05); NLS Nautilus Group, Inc. STX Seagate Technology TOO Too, Inc. 2.) The second one looks for stocks that have shown three days worth of increasing prices accompanied by increasing volume. Kevin has found that stocks that meet this criteria have a tendency to keep on moving in that same direction. The parameters are: Current Price greater than Price 1 Day Ago Price 1 Day Ago greater than Price 2 Days Ago Price 2 Days Ago greater than Price 3 Days Ago Current Volume greater than Volume 1 Day Ago Volume 1 Day Ago greater than Volume 2 Days Ago Volume 2 Days Ago greater than Volume 3 Days Ago And it's applied to stocks that are trading within 20% of their 52 week high. Additionally, they're greater than or equal to $5 and have a minimum of at least 50,000 shares traded daily. Instead of focusing on just the biggest gainers (which often are one day events -- that have been missed), this spots price momentum AND accumulation.
