Refining and marketing profits doubled from a year ago as U.S. refining margins rose. Asset sales and strong cash flow have helped the company reduce debt and make investments. The strategy also likes the fact that the company has grown earnings at over 25% annually and has not experienced an earnings dip within the past 5 years. ENI S.P.A. (NYSE:E): The strategy Reese devised based on the investment approach of James P. O'Shaughnessy is favorably disposed toward ENI. The company passes all of the tests, including exhibiting strong cash flows. Companies with strong cash flows are typically the value-oriented investments this strategy looks for, and the company's cash flow per share must be greater than the mean of the market's cash flow per share. The market's is $1.08, and ENI's is $3.38. The company's trailing 12-month sales must be at least 1.5 times greater than the mean of the market's trailing 12-month sales. The market's sales are $14.1 billion and ENI's is $131.7 billion. Both Experts rate Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) a Buy. The stock passes Moroney's value and momentum combined screen as well as Peter Lynch's growth strategy.
