Masco Corporation (NYSE:MAS) is involved in several lines of business, including cabinets, plumbing products, contractor services, architectural products, and other special products. Because of its manufacturing capability, the company has the capability to adapt products to changing market conditions. Slowdowns in home sales and rising interest rates may force many homeowners to opt for remodeling rather than outright relocation. All of these factors should play well for the company, which also maintains a low debt level.

Even with its new marketing images, McDonald's Corporation (NYSE:MCD) still remains synonymous with hamburgers, French fries, and milkshakes. Besides its namesake hamburger chain, the company has dabbled in other restaurant concepts. The last several years have seen McDonald's make dramatic improvements in both earnings and dividend. In fact, dividends have increased so quickly they have dramatically outpaced investor buying and have led to unusually high historical yield levels. Wright and his team believe all these factors play well for the company, as well its exit from a number of smaller concept chains that Wall Street dubbed 'distractions.'
