Administaff, Inc. (NYSE:ASF) will announce financial results for the second quarter on August 1, 2006. In its first-quarter report, which was released in early May, the company posted earnings per share of 37 cents. The result was ahead of analysts' expectations by approximately 12% and topped the year-ago total of 18 cents. Administaff delivered earnings per share growth of 34% over the past five years.

Books-A-Million, Inc. (Nasdaq:BAMM) is a Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) name. For its fiscal third quarter, which was announced in early June, the company jumped ahead of the consensus estimate by 14%. The company recently reported second-quarter earnings of $1.16 per share, improving on last year's 71 cents and outpacing the consensus estimate by nearly 14%.
