The company noted that revenues and operating income far exceeded management estimates in the second quarter. ALY experienced earnings per share growth of 163% over the past five years.

CryptoLogic Inc. (Nasdaq: CRYP), also a Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) company, recently released second-quarter earnings of 59 cents per share, improving on last year's 33 cents and exceeding analysts' expectations of 47 cents. CRYP stated that better than-expected performance was attributable to strong organic growth in online poker software fees and a particularly strong quarter in online casino software fees, driven by the release of innovative new casino games and CryptoLogic's expanded high-margin slot portfolio. During the past five years, the company's earnings per share grew 18%.

Radiant Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: RADS) released financial results for the second quarter in late July. Adjusted earnings per share of 13 cents eclipsed the consensus estimate by approximately 18% and outperformed the previous year's result. The company said it is very pleased with the reception its offerings are seeing in the marketplace, as indicated by another record revenue quarter. RADS has also seen earnings per share growth of 86% over the past five years.
