Here is a synopsis of why TUES and SNIC have a Zacks Rank of 5 (Strong Sell) and should most likely be sold or avoided for the next one to three months. Note that a #5 Strong Sell rating is applied to 5% of all the Zacks ranked stocks:

Tuesday Morning Corporation (NASDAQ:TUES) recently warned. Blaming weaker-than-anticipated store traffic, the company now expects full year profits to total $1.48-$1.51 per share versus prior guidance for profits of $1.64 per share. Ten of the 12 covering analysts revised their forecasts in response, causing the consensus estimate to fall 15 cents to $1.49 per share.

Sonic Solutions (NASDAQ:SNIC) cut its fiscal third- and fourth-quarter guidance, causing multiple analysts to slash their forecasts. Over the past two months, the consensus estimate for fiscal 2006 profits has dropped by 32.5%. Notably, analysts have also lowered their expectations for fiscal 2007 as well, with the consensus estimate falling 23.7%.

Here is a synopsis of why CTAS and PNR have a Zacks Rank of 4 (Sell) and should also most likely be sold or avoided for the next one to three months. Note that a #4 Sell rating is applied to 15% of all the stocks ranked by Zacks:

The company also lowered its guidance for full year profits and now anticipates earning between $1.93-$2.00 per share during all of fiscal 2006. Within the past week, half of the covering analysts have lowered their forecasts, causing the consensus estimate to decline by two cents to $1.95.

Pentair, Inc. (NASDAQ:PNR) recently reaffirmed its full year guidance for profits of $1.91-$1.93 per share. Analysts, however, were more pessimistic. Two of the six covering analysts cut their guidance, resulting in the consensus estimate falling to $1.87 per share from the 30-day old forecast of $1.93. PNR missed third-quarter estimates by two cents.
