Outback Steakhouse, Inc. (NYSE:OSI) said last week that sales at company-owned restaurants fell in April. Domestic same-store sales Same-store sales is a business term which refers to the revenue generated by one of a retail chain's specific outlets during a certain period of time (often a fiscal quarter or a particular shopping season), compared to an identical period in the past, usually in the previous year.  at Outback Steakhouse restaurants declined 2.2% and average unit volume fell 2.3%. Three of the 13 covering analysts revised their forecasts for full year earnings in response. The new consensus estimate of $1.86 per share is a penny below the forecast of a week ago and 68 cents below the forecast of 60 days ago.

P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Inc. (Nasdaq:PFCB) will report first-quarter earnings on Apr 26; the company has missed expectations once in the past two quarters. PFCB said last week that first quarter same-store sales at its namesake restaurants increased 1.3%; however, prices also increased by the same amount. Analysts were unmoved un·moved

Check Point Software Technologies (Nasdaq:CHKP) recently revised its guidance for full year earnings. Citing slowing industry growth, a shift in customer preference towards software subscriptions and a change in its decision to acquire Sourcefire, CHKP revised its full year guidance. The company now anticipates generating non-GAAP profits of $1.37 to $1.45 per share. 12 of the 23 covering analysts lowered their forecasts in response, causing the consensus estimate to fall five cents to $1.38 per share.

VeriSign (Nasdaq:VRSN) will report first-quarter results on Apr 20. Ahead of the report, analysts have been lowering their expectations for full year earnings. The current consensus estimate of 97 cents per share Cents per share
