King Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NYSE:KG) posted second-quarter earnings of 44 cents per share, excluding items, in early August. The company said it was pleased with the second quarter, citing record high revenues of $462.9 million. Analysts also seemed pleased as earnings estimates increased. Current full year 2005 estimates of $1.34 per share are about 47% above three months ago levels.

Mylan Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE:MYL) released financial results for its fiscal first-quarter in mid-July. Adjusted earnings of 26 cents per share exceeded the consensus estimate by two cents and surpassed last year's 24 cents per share. Fiscal year 2006 earnings estimates of $1.01 per share are 1% above three months ago levels.
