Here are highlights from Friday's Analyst Blog:

Downgrade for Quinsa

Quilmes Industrial (Quinsa), S.A. (NYSE: LQU) is a beneficiary of the recovering economies in Latin America Latin America, the Spanish-speaking, Portuguese-speaking, and French-speaking countries (except Canada) of North America, South America, Central America, and the West Indies. . In addition, the synergies from the alliance of operations with AmBev (NYSE: ABV) have become apparent from the company's latest financial reports.

Most recently, AmBev increased its ownership of Quinsa to 91%, effectively controlling the company. Though public shareholders most probably will be bought out, the stock has achieved the target price in the mid-50's and is now fairly valued. Hence, a Hold rating is recommended.

Keeping AATI a Hold

Advanced Analogic Technologies (Nasdaq: AATI) is a supplier of power management semiconductors for mobile consumer electronic devices, such as wireless handsets, notebook and tablet computers A complete computer contained in a touch screen. Tablet computers can be specialized for only Internet use or be full-blown, general-purpose PCs with all the bells and whistles of a desktop unit. , smartphones, digital cameras and personal media players. The company is attempting to offset the decline in sales of its largest customer LG (NYSE: LPL) with more traction into the Asian handset market, particularly China and Taiwan.

The company recently slashed its one quarter and second half outlook due to a weak Asian handset market. We reiterate our Hold recommendation.
