Here are highlights from Friday's Analyst Blog:

Palm, Inc. Trading at Fair Levels

Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq: PALM) is facing growing competition from old rivals, such as Research in Motion (Nasdaq: RIMM), as well as new, such as Motorola (NYSE: MOT) and Samsung. We maintain a Hold recommendation on the shares of PALM and raise our six month target price to $18.50.

Takeover speculation gained momentum earlier this month following a report in the Wall Street Journal that Palm has hired Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) to advise it on its strategic options. As a result, the stock has appreciated approximately 25% since this speculation began, leading to a less attractive valuation.
