ZURN TO BUILD 40-MEGAWATT WOOD-BURNING POWER PLANT ERIE, Pa., April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Zurn Industries, Inc.
(NYSE: ZRN), a leading designer and manufacturer of power systems and equipment, and water control products for environmental applications, has received a power plant engineering and construction contract from Alternative Energy, Inc. (AEI) of Bangor, Maine. The new order is valued in the $35 to $40 million range and is the third such project awarded to Zurn by AEI.
The contract calls for Zurn/NEPCO to design and build a 40-megawatt power plant in Ashland, Maine. Zurn will also supply a 335,000 lbs/hr wood-fired steam generator and provide the dust collectors for the project. The power plant will provide electricity to Central Maine Power.
