ZIFFNET LAUNCHES ZIFFNET SELECTIONS FOR APPLELINK; ZIFFNET/MAC NEWS, PRODUCT REVIEWS AND SOFTWARE NOW AVAILABLE ON APPLELINK

 CAMBRIDGE, Mass., April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Ziff Desktop Information today announced the availability of some of its most popular Macintosh-related, online features on AppleLink. ZiffNet Selections for AppleLink, a subset of ZiffNet/Mac, the online information service all about Macintosh computing, will provide AppleLink subscribers with timely and easy access to the latest news, product reviews and software from the industry's leading Macintosh and personal computer magazines. AppleLink is Apple's global online service, providing 24-hour access to Apple and third-party technical support, news, information and electronic mail service to more than 54,000 users worldwide.
 ZiffNet Selections for AppleLink is a read-only service providing the latest Macintosh news available the Friday before publication; product reviews, articles and award listings arranged for easy access; expert and objective buying advice; and downloadable software including the latest utilities and exclusive files. The new service uses AppleLink's easy-to-use graphical user interface and contains the most up-to-date information from MacWEEK, MacUser and PC Week.

 -- Editors' Choice awards, including the MacUser Eddy Awards, MacWEEK Diamond Awards and various other personal computer magazine awards;
 -- Downloadable software, including downloadable software programs from ZiffNet/Mac and MacUser such as Expert Systems, benchmarks, utilities and other resources; and
 -- MacUser's MiniFinders, a searchable database containing more than 1,500 products reviewed in MacUser.
