ZIEBART INTERNATIONAL SIGNS MASTER FRANCHISE AGREEMENT FOR HUNGARY

TROY, Mich., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Ziebart International Corporation, the world's leading car care company, this week signed a Ziebart TidyCar master franchise agreement for Hungary, citing enormous potential for franchise growth in the formerly Communist country.
The master franchise owner is Henry Benteler, chief executive officer of Balios-Xanthos, a Swiss-based finance and investment group. The organization also holds the master franchise for Hungary from an American dry cleaning company.
"This is an ideal time to be entering the Hungarian market," said Benteler. "The Hungarian people are very enthusiastic about American products and services. We look forward to a long and successful relationship with Ziebart TidyCar."
In Hungary there are about 2.2 million vehicles that are privately owned, Benteler said. Hungary is also one of the most stable countries, politically and economically, in Eastern Europe.
Thomas R. Cunningham, Ziebart International Corporation's vice president of International Operations, said the company's global focus is on expansion in Europe. "We're especially pleased to be entering the Hungarian market, which has a strong demand for our full line of products," said Cunningham. "Mr. Benteler's experience will be very valuable in building a successful franchise network."
Benteler said he expects to develop 20 to 25 Ziebart TidyCar stores in Hungary over the next decade.
Ziebart TidyCar is the world leader in automotive detailing, rust protection and vehicle accessories, with more than 700 locations in 40 countries.
