ZENITH ELECTRONICS ANNOUNCES SALE OF COMMON STOCK

 GLENVIEW, Ill., May 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Zenith Electronics Corp. (NYSE: ZE) announced today it has sold 1.5 million shares of newly issued common stock to Fletcher Capital Markets, Inc.
 As announced in March, the price per share was related to transactions on The New York Stock Exchange during a specified period. The proceeds from the sale are just over $10 million.
 The shares were sold pursuant to a shelf registration statement for 5 million shares.
