ZEBRA TECHNOLOGIES FILES TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT SUIT
VERNON HILLS, Ill., Feb. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Zebra Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ: ZBRA) of Vernon Hills, Ill., filed suit against RJS Inc. of Monrovia, Calif. on Feb. 12, 1992 for infringement of Zebra's federally registered trademark, ZPL, infringement of Zebra's copyrighted software, unfair competition, false advertising and deceptive trade practices. The lawsuit is pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division (Chicago).
Zebra is asking the court for both damages and an injunction halting further such conduct by RJS.
Over the years, Zebra has invested considerable amounts of its resources in the creation, development, and marketing of its products which utilize and benefit from Zebra's proprietary rights. Zebra therefore, is very concerned about the protection of those rights, particularly its patented inventions, registered trademarks, and copyrighted software.
