The Pasadena Doo-Dah Parade will celebrate its 20th year Sunday with an oddball assortment of old favorites, new groups and one-of-kind attractions including the West Hollywood West Hollywood

 and radio host, will serve as the 1996 Parade's grand marshal Grand Marshal is a ceremonial, military, or political office of very high rank. The term has its origins with the word "Marshal" with the first usage of the term "Grand Marshal" as a ceremonial title for certain religious orders. .

This year the parade route starts at Holly Street and Raymond Avenue, goes south down Raymond to Colorado Boulevard and then west on Colorado to Pasadena Avenue.

Organizers said a pub crawl of Old Pasadena bars and restaurants will immediately follow the parade, including musical guests Dread Zeppelin, Snotty Scotty and the Hankies and the Cal-Transvestites and Chicken Legs.

The Doo-Dah Parade began as a spoof on the Tournament of Roses. It is produced by the Light-Bringer Project, a Pasadena-based nonprofit arts organization which also produces a variety of community arts programming.
